although these questions had very narrow margins, the mods have decided to begin the event in the first week of December and have the creation period run for 80 days. This gives creators plenty of time to decide which fan work they are remixing. We will have specific dates soon.
2000 words/clean lineart came out ahead as the requirements that were most popular with our respondants so those are the minimum requirements we will be setting for the event. minimum requirements for mediums other than fic and art can be reviewed by the mods!
the majority of you are fine with your fan works being remixed into a different canon, so for the purposes of the ao3 sign up form we will not be requiring you to separate your requests and offers by canon!
we had ten people say they would pinch hit, which is wonderful as we will need a great group of pinch hitters available in case any issues arise!
FYI - the event is open to eligible artists, fic writers and creators in any medium!
Re eligibility: excluding WIPs, co-created works, works that are based on another fanwork, or works marked ineligible by yourself, you must have three complete fics, pieces of art or some combination thereof!
you will not be able to communicate with the person you're matched with, the matches and who wrote which fic will be secret until the reveal date!
A few more bits of info: you will not need to create 3 pieces for the event, however you will be required to have 3 complete, eligible pieces in order to join, this is so that the person matched to remix you has some options to choose from!
