I'd guess a lot of the reason Bluesky feels more manageable than Twitter is that most of us have already messily figured out our online boundaries on Twitter. It's not necessarily the platform that's better. It's you. Congrats.

That's kinda what I mean when I say BS is an alternate twitter. It's great if you don't want the muskrat funk of twitter stinkin' up your whole vibe. And of course expanding your "brand" to other sites where there are people who share similar interests is always good.

Eh, idk. I used to pretty much only lurk on Twitter (really, never made a post), and the Fediverse and BlueSky feel a lot better and more positive, and "familiar". Thus, I began actually posting stuff here and there, but not on Twitter.
