Yeah! That's a pretty cool thing in animation in general too! Cool to google up these and see how they nyoom on the paper/cell. Some are truly masters of the perspective. Those scrollable backgrounds need to be painted somehow and I think I used that kind of technique in our games as well.

Fun fact: James Gurney started off as a background painter and worked alongside Thomas Kinkaide on a film called “Fire and Ice” in the early 1980s
