It does seem to be a growing problem, lack of hierarchy. RL experiences were probably a regional thing, country-folk cover for each other, individualists don't. I meant tho projects that do need more help, but cockiness seems to be a growing issue too. Hopes to collab on anything not looking good.

Teams of people who are not paid are very unstable. People need a reason to work. If they're not working for money, then it's because they desire a specific result. When disagreements happen about the direction of the project or if the end result just isn't worth the tremendous effort, they quit.
