It's pretty clear from reading Ephesians that the works of darkness have nothing to do with that, but do include greed. So technically by not giving away candy, you ARE committing works of darkness. The moral of the story is celebrate Halloween or go to hell. Or something.

I don’t want to go to hell. Therefore, I must give away candy. As Christ would want!!!!!
