I used to be concerned about the noise, but now i kind of like it. I'm wearing my CB6000S with the padlock but I put some rubber bands around it to keep it from rattling too much. However, I do have a frenum piercing and that rattles when it hits the inside of the cage when I walk.
Yes, I think I'm learning the old saying, "You get what you're paying for.' A cheap cage comes with downsides. Mainly the quality of the product.
I think everyone will have a different answer. Depending on how open your cage is and your climate, I would think one a week at a minimum. Once I can make it 24/7, I think I'll start with every other day. But, that's because I sweat a lot and live in a hot humid environment.
