Still looking for some real ghost/alien/paranormal stories, if anyone has had a weird experience and wants to share it for a zine!

bought an ipad and an apple pencil last week. spent today drawing the first page of a comic story that i'm really excited to work on.

Another thing I want to do in this zine (which I hope to do multiple issues of): a little section for publishing actual paranormal/UFO encounters submitted by readers. If anyone has had an actual ghost encounter or UFO sighting or bigfoot experience and wouldn't mind sharing it for a weird zine....

we all should be watching more kiyoshi kurosawa movies.

i sat down today and drew for a couple hours on an ipad and an apple pen that i was able to access through the uni i work at and while i vastly prefer the feel of actual ink on paper, i think a digital setup is gonna be the only way i'll ever actually draft this entire project.

i haven't really done any serious drawing in, like, 10+ years so thinking about working on a comic that will likely be 30+ pages makes me feel a little insane, but i've also had that rare feeling lately of being so excited to work on a thing that it becomes hard to think about much of anything else.

i've had a few ideas for long-form comic stories that i've been sitting on for too long. been trying to re-read some of my hall-of-famers to get my brain the right mode.

i really try not to do electoral politics posts but i just had a long conversation on the phone with a very nice union staffer who was canvassing for harris & it really really highlighted how utterly incompatible the democratic party & the rhetoric of liberalism has become w/ my own politics.
