I actually kinda think some of those guys could get away with it especially given the same phrasing. Also any blowback would probably be from like investors or the board rather than law enforcement.

Well… your suggestions are all defense contractors. They are not going to bite the hand that feeds them, even if Boeing has shit for brains management. GE sells subs and jet engines to the government. Finding a large US company that doesn’t suckle at the Fed Gov teat might be pretty difficult.
