I have some skepticism about post detaching feature but uh, this is not exactly a sterling example of a post with value-add encouraging "interesting discourses". And the reason is because Bluesky devs have prioritized reducing toxicity over accountability and engagement as a reaction to Twitter.
Dude is also following at least one pro-Hamas account; he’s an easy block
The problem with the post detachment, combined with non-detached quote posts actually being surfaced now, is that you can make a bad post, let's go with misinformation, people can quote-post with positive or negative feedback and you can remove just the negative feedback.
Yeah, it wasn't a stellar quote from me by any means. But the function does work, and I just don't like it. Twitter is already pretty echochambery, but here it's like on whole another level. I guess to each their own
God yeah why would someone want to skip the person who starts with the incredible argument 'no it doesn't' you can really feel the weight of the great DISCOURSE we, the collective internet, was robbed of
I was gonna say "remove function is a thing because sometimes they want to cut off the quote skeet without blocking you," but it looks like they blocked as well. Just seems redundant.
