On September 11, 1969, the KGB arrested Mustafa Dzhemilev, an activist of the Crimean Tatar national movement. At that time, Mustafa was one of the founders of the Initiative Group for the Protection of Human Rights. An activist of the Crimean Tatar movement, dissident, political prisoner ⬇️

who later became a national hero and led the movement of Crimean Tatars for repatriation. He was sentenced in Jan 1970 to 3 years in prison. He devoted his entire life to the national struggle, and was tried for the first time in 1966, then in 1970, 1974, 1976, 1979, 1983, and the last time in 1986⬇️
