Hurricane Helene barely missed me. I experienced one of the first feeder bands, and then it moved on. I am very fortunate, and saddened by the destruction Iāve seen elsewhere. A friend and her husband, kids, and pets had to be rescued from their home. Iām thankful theyāre safe. Take care, Southeast.

This happened at 11pm in the middle of a wildlife savanna in my neighborhood. I had to drive it home like this. Itās absolutely destroyed, but Iām grateful to be safe in my apartment. Visiting my only relatives in the area requires driving through the savanna on rough terrain to get to their home.
