One thing I hear a lot from disaffected third-party voters is that they don't want to "reward" Kamala with their vote. Please consider this: your vote is less about a "reward" for Kamala Harris than it is a gift to your fellow citizens.
It’s just about voting for you best interests. If you want a politician to listen, saying you voted for them previously is very persuasive. Saying you voted for a third party, but might vote for a “good” candidate this time around isn’t persuasive at all.
I get not wanting to reward a candidate with victory when they support policies you find unacceptable, like the wholesale bombing of Gaza. That is entirely understandable. But are you willing to reward the poor and trans and brown folks in the U.S. with a leader who won't try to exterminate them?
Well put. Iwillvote.comBallotpedia.com For the best democracy, please re-skeet.
Be a voter. Find everything you need to vote in your state's next election.
Or atleast not a punishment?
Have heard & read similar statements from Canadians who announce they will not vote in the next federal election because they want to "send a message" to the federal Liberals. By paving the way for a government that will proceed to wipe out everything that matters to those vote withholders.
I just blocked a purity pony who isn’t voting for Kamala because she isn’t promising them Medicare for All. I never want to see that asinine “give me everything I want or I’ll sulk and let the fascist win” tripe in my timeline again.
