Weird, I never heard of them making those, maybe car stereos. Yeah Pioneer is well known for DJ gear in US, Canada, and UK I think. The competing software to Pioneer's Rekordbox is Serato. There was a lot of hype around their recent "Stems" feature but seems to have died down and idk who uses it.

I did a little research and your information is correct! It seems that Pioneer decided to withdraw from the audio business in 2015 and transferred the business to Onkyo. They are also in the car navigation business and apparently currently have the 2nd largest market share in Japan after Panasonic:)
