I watched it when it first aired. I was so obsessed. Every Friday at school (during S1) I’d seek out my friend Allison and we’d talk about it for an hour. S2 wasn’t quite the same but the finale (which Lynch came back to direct) brought me to tears. No other show will ever top it for me.

Only other show that’s come close in 30 years for me is Severance which is phenomenal but it’s weirdness is all VERY meticulously thought out… whereas w/ Lynch there IS premise and intention but the execution can be more intuitive… a kind of abstract expressionism that’s better felt than understood.
