The MN Supreme Court rejected a challenge to a law restoring voting rights to people convicted of felonies who are no longer incarcerated. The ruling means more than 50K Minnesotans who were recently re-enfranchised will be able to vote this fall. Opinion: www.mncourts.gov/mncourtsgov/...

Major direct democracy decision from the Michigan Supreme Court: The state legislature's "adopt & amend" tactic violated the Mich. Const., and as a result, initiatives to increase minimum wage and provide paid sick leave will go into effect. More analysis to come.
