Politicians point to stuff like universal income, healthcare etc, and play on the anxieties of the working/middle classes: "How will we afford it? Where will the money come from What about the national debt?" (meaningless questions) Because they think that desperate people are easier to control.
That might be true if a country had a single pot of money to spend. but that's not the case. UBI works because it's *U*. No stigma, no forms, no claims, no judgement over who is worthy or not, no enforcement, so no politician claiming that they're going to 'go after the cheats'. No stress.
The news is an entirely new grand jury decided to reindict Trump on the same election subversion counts, without considering the evidence that the Supreme Court barred from consideration—i.e. the DOJ corruption stuff and any other conspiring with federal officials.
Sure, think of all those trump supporting readers. You could potentially lose tens of book sales.
It's not really intuitive. The pressing buttons and then waiting and pressing them again thing is frustrating. And I have no idea how to use that thing on the side. As far as I can make out, it's only purpose is to spray milk and hot water around the kitchen.
It doesn't click in place, just tightens. Press the middle button with the 2 coffee cups on it. It'll start to flash. Once it's steady, press it again and it should make coffee :)
That thing is in 3 bits. The bit with the handle, the bit you took out, and then another filter inside with a black rubber seal. They come apart for cleaning. Coffee goes in there. I don't bother to tamp it down or it sometimes gets clogged.
