I can not see that as a winning strategy for Trump. He already has the hardcore fundamentalists, gunnuts, and racists. He needs the moderate middle to break 55% for him, and he won't with that strategy. Wafflers never go for radicals.

I share your same perspective. He’s leaning heavily into the most extreme elements of the right wing. Not a winning strategy. It’s voter repellent to everyone else.
