I learned about this beast when I stumbled upon the Belarusian city of Logishin and its emblem. Turns out, there is a legend according to which a wolf hybrid helps lost travelers find their way home, and hooves are needed just so that it does not drown in the swamps itself.

This is actually so cool, never came across wolves with hooves before!
