New writer here hoping to get some feedback on my wip dystopian fantasy/sci-fi novel. The story has themes of control, complex political structures, freedom, and autonomy. I’m happy to trade feedback on any wip projects you’re working on.

Can you explain to me the ways Trump differs from traditional Republicans on a policy or legislative perspective? I get he’s louder and more crass, but what piece of legislation did you see as too extreme? Genuinely curious, I never actually see you guys.

States usually run primaries. We were not given that option during the federal election. The Democratic Party is not beholden to upholding the will of its voters, as evidenced in 2016 and their lawsuit stating that they don’t legally have to. observer.com/2017/05/dnc-...

The difference is Republicans WANT to move right. The democrats don’t want to move left. They want to fill the void left by the fabled “never Trump republicans” who will likely hold their nose and vote for the anti-abortion candidate anyways.

Libertarians generally take votes away from republicans. They did nothing when Ron Paul was gaining support. He became a leading voice for Republicans, as libertarians vote for Republicans down ballot for the most part. Same as greens for Dems, but the Rs recognize it.

It’s a cool hypothetical, but it won’t happen if we unconditionally supporting a party preventing that from happening.
