Oooh! The most major deities with a lot of myths surrounding them, the 3 big guns - are the Trimurti, and their wifes/counterparts the Tridevi. One of the Trimurti, Vishnu, has ~10 avatars called the Dashavatara, each of them have stories too and two of them are central to major epics
