man, the more I think about it, the more depressed I get with Tears of the Kingdom's story They had an extremely emotionally impacting event happen, and it left such an impression on just about everyone who played... only to undo it in the end

like that was such an unbelievable misstep, and in my opinion kinda ruined the story. They should have stuck to it, not every story needs the "happy" ending. Defeat evil, yes, but come on. Let the sacrifices actually mean something beyond "sword go brrrrr"
