also they can use your face or thumb to open your phone against your will. either use PIN only or put your phone in emergency mode before talking to cops.

On iPhones, holding either the lock button, or the lock button and volume up button together for about five seconds will disable fingerprint/Face ID and require the passcode to unlock the phone. Always a good idea if you are approached by a cop.
