It never stopped being the norm. Lots of games ship both free and DLC content updates with meaty gameplay offerings.
I found that the other day!!! I’m so happy 🥲
Now, of course, having said that I am certain I’m walking into some major choice that’s going to have consequences no matter what I choose, I just don’t know it yet! :D Here’s to the next 25 hours of playing Star Wars Outlaws lol
And I know that I got here because I have spent an inordinately long time on every planet doing all the side quests, because I genuinely enjoy the game. But it has yielded this interesting consequence where I don't have to worry too hard about the decisions and instead do it for the plot 😂
It becomes a positive reinforcement loop, because I can keep taking contracts and go into the competing factions territory anytime I want with the only challenge being getting around the restricted areas which are smaller and easier to do. Spy on Crimson Dawn? Sure! Loot the Ashiga? No problem!
But actually… being excellent with all the factions feels like having a cheat code. When faced with a faction choice, no matter how big, I am free to make any decision I want with very little meaningful consequence because at worst, I moved down from the top of excellent to the middle of good.
Boy am I glad I spent all that time getting to Excellent with the Hutts! Made getting out of this little pickle I’m in on Tattoine muuuuch easier.
Playing last night and I had this moment of delight! I knew that Outlaws was set in “original trilogy” timeline but to have it so specifically set in the year-ish between the Battle of Hoth and the start of ROTJ, and have the Easter eggs reflect that is awesome for me as a Star Wars fan!
Nobody ever listens to Elrond T_T
It's so good! THE HATS!!
