When it was announced that Square Enix was interested in NFT’s, I immediately expressed that I would not be supporting their company if they did so. Since the initial announcement, Square Enix has not followed up stating they were no longer interested in NFT’s. Does this answer the question?

Not really, I get your mindset but it doesn't really convince me, in my view, focusing on boycotting specifically what is the problem is likely more effective, especially when they have other issues in their hands so they can't blame in something else.
