Wait it's cheaper to use a touchscreen than knobs? Do you have any resources on that, I would like to research that more. I was under the impression that touch screen was more expensive because of needing a more powerful computer in the car and thought that touch screens were more luxury items.

I'm not comparing touchscreen vs no touchscreen. More the push to remove all the physical buttons once a car has a touchscreen included. Things like a/c, audio, perhaps lights and wipers, etc. Each of those physical switches removed is less wiring, quicker construction, fewer parts..

The computer in a car is a handful of chips that cost like, $3 fully integrated.
