Nothing wrong with a happy coincidence given the circumstances. :)
😷 Day 5 of the plague: At the risk of jinxing myself, I might just be over the hump. Stuffy nose is drying up, cough is less frequent, fever broke last evening. Still tired, but better-ish. 🤞
Added bonus if she's not too proud to say "I don't know" from time to time. We've had a couple referrals over the years for things my vet has freely admitted they could try to treat, but we'd be better served by more expertise: collapsed trachea and guinea pig concerns, in particular.
Glad you found a vet who "gets" you and Roxy--pragmatic about the reality of her condition, yet compassionate toward making the most of her remaining time. CHF sucks, but a vet who genuinely cares can make it suck slightly less. 🐾
If it had been available, I would have nabbed a fresh booster before going on vacation! Instead, my COVID-free streak ended last week when it followed my family home. 4+ years of vigilance (masking, boosters) ...kaput. No match for "FliRT"-ing with contagion. 😷
*nod* We're pretty close to that point too. We hadn't been since the pandemic, so this was our first trip in more than 5 years. The pixie dust is less and the "Disney tax" is higher than ever. 🤷
If you'd like to travel a bit further south, there's also the Muppet Brew-Wing Lab at #WaltDisneyWorld#Epcot. This year's theme is pickles and wings. ~~ Pictured is the pickle milkshake. Weird, but oddly not half bad.
Midday plague update: Trying to catch up on email... The fatigue is real! 30-45 minutes with a laptop, and I'm spent.
😷 Day 4 of the plague: Damn immune system, make up your mind already?! Daytime: Feeling pretty decent in spite of a stuffy nose. Overnight: Fever and messed up dreams.
