I’m seeing some friends struggle to draw lately with the goal in mind of posting, and I just want to say, I’m sharing art I’m not proud of! I love the act of creating atm, but the final products are quick sketches or pieces that leave me feeling ok. It’s good to not be perfect! Please have fun!

Chasing after perfection usually just tends to slow you down and chip at you determination, anyways. The best artists get where they get because they actually like what they do - sometimes drawing for the sake of creating really is the best you could do for self improvement.

Good art’s for the portfolio or instagram, a website like this is for “check out this hot idea I drew in 5 minutes!” and we all gather around and clap. We wanna see your garbage doodles here and see you as a whole person with good and bad days!

thanks for saying this, I'm actually in the same boat but I'm ashamed to share poor ba sketches, even tho I draw a lot of sketches each days T-T

Been meaning to post my photography work here as well, but I’m not sure if it’s on par with illustrations as “art” (at least that’s what people tell me)

A lot of my recent stuff is “good idea, bad execution” but I’m happy to finally draw these ideas I’ve been mulling over for awhile! Also, this is just my opinion. But I know it’s nice sometimes to hear others struggling in the same boat

I wanna get better at drawing but I rlly don't know how I can without developing bad habits or practicing some sort of wrong way or whatnot

it's kinda hard when you were bullied when you were a child for drawing..you know..like i child. i still am mad at me for deciding to post my art on the internet when i was a teen. i stoped drawing for years and now trying to come back. it's hard. but people like you make it better. thank you.
