There's a Dutch "drink" called advocaat. (Homonym with the word for "lawyers", make of that what you will.) Thickened by heating gently, with a somewhat serious amount of brandy and (going on memory) some sugar. I don't have a favorite recipe handy, alas.

I went for this, flan patisserie.

Flan patisserie fresh out of the oven cooling down. Perfect amount of browning on the top. Can't wait to eat it but have to wait till tomorrow for it to have cooled down apparently.
