I absolutely loved Control but the gameplay took quite a bit of getting used to and I gave up on the DLC for similar reasons. Would still play the hell out of a sequel though.

Last update from a few months back said it was in the production readiness stage™. Give Remedy €10,000,000 to speed it up. (They will blow it all on Alan Wake DLC.)
