It's the same fucking debate from 40 or 60 years ago, that focused on how modern music kids were listening to was corrupting them. It's a lazy stupid argument and it simplifies an incredibly complex problem. It also tends to alleviate parents of the responsibility they have to raise their kids.

It’s very much “My kids aren’t doing everything I expect of them/tell them to do. I am perfect. They are perfect. This disappointment and tension must be for an external reason. I don’t understand/like their current cultural circumstances. That must be the reason!”
