Also, voting here is compulsory, which maybe sounds bad to some, but means that our political parties can't win by disenfranchising voters; If you are 18+, you have the RIGHT, & the OBLIGATION to vote, & our system will bend over backwards to make the whole process as easy as possible for you.
Wholehearted agreement and one symptom of this is the fact that elections are held on weekends when you don't have to ask for permission to take time off from your job

Not to mention you go on the electoral roll just before your 18th birthday and stay on it for the rest of your life. No needs to do anything other than notify the electoral commission if you change address. None of this being removed from the electoral roll which seems to be rampant in America.
