I’ve seen ofher explanations, but: “Starmer is a surname. It is an English habitational surname, derived from Starmore in Leicestershire. Alternatively, it can also be derived from ‘Stermore near Stowe,’ which used to exist in Staffordshire.” en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starmer...
I still inflict some long-forgotten local Detroit ads from 35-40 years ago on my family. (Mostly the diamond ad mentioned in this piece: open.substack.com/pub/vtuss/p/...) But the appliance ads were the best. I still shout “TWO DAYS!” like one of the best from my childhood.
My boys have caught the card-playing bug, and the past just comes rushing back.
I’ve used “it’s a pterodactyl” line for years, from that Little Caesars ads: youtu.be/etO8__dW0PQ?...

Nixon was 47 by Election day on 1960 though (born January 1913). The Harris/Carter age gap will be 597 days longer than Nixon/Hoover
“Hoover lived for thirty-two years after his presidency and continued to be a voice in politics. He delivered a speech at the 1960 Republican National Convention when Nixon was named the Republican nominee for president.” www.nixonfoundation.org/2022/08/pres...
If the 86-year-old Hoover voted in 1960 for Nixon, who was 46, then we achieved the 40-year difference already.
You can see a version still in print.
