So Trump did his hush money scheme during the 2016 election, the facts came out in 2018, and the sentencing for that election crime will not come out until after Trump has run for president two more times. There’s basically no way to argue that the justice system is in working condition.

Totally AGREE JUSTICE HAS FAILED US. However, just imagine him being elected but Sentenced to Jail time Before the Inauguration? I/ we don't expect him to win, and We Will have our JUST DESSERTS. All this pain and anguish was totally UNNECESSARY !!!!!
But lots of people of color still end up in prison, so we'll see how fast things change.
the US justice system ceased to function a long ways back and this orange grifter has managed to take full advantage of the failures.
One might be able to argue that it \does\ work, and the system was designed to protect individuals like him from due justice. He's not the first and unfortunately will not be the last.
US legal system not exactly geared for a high incidence of court trials. Justice would have been served faster if DJT and DoJ could have hashed out a plea deal.
