people are way too obsessed with vanity numbers. in 2024, a lot of those Twitter accounts are dead or dying. plus there is an algorithm that suppresses reach on top of that. do what you want but understand engagement matters more than followers

I've never believed in quantity on twit, always looked at quality. Personal contact, trying to get in contact with genuine people. Twit killed all that and I'm enjoying being here and building again on a feed with real people. Interesting topics, diversity and just what life can offer if you try.

Thank you! The obsession with numbers is bonkers. Alone on this platform I blocked 50 new followers over the past week, at least half of which were just spammers and the other half were accounts I would never ever engage with. It's almost 2025; people need to stop obsessing over following count.
