There's a NooFToof scammer who falsified a whole assed BBC fluff piece, they sent him a cease-and-desist and he had to remove the bogus version from his Youtube channel. The whole story is pretty hilarious.

The best now redundant device I ever had was a Misubishi HS-U20 VCR. It had indexing that allowed you to put bookmarks on your cassettes, ie after ad breaks, (it auto created them when you hit record). And the IR remote worked in any direction. Truly an artefact of a golden age.
