Agriculture, land use, & food systems account for nearly 20 billion tons of CO2 equivalent each year! We haven't begun to make a dent in this yet! We're going to need to feed 9-10 billion people in the coming decades vs. our population of 8 billion today! We should be calling more attention to this!
The thing I can’t figure out is if E*on really wants to go to Mars, he should be fully invested in finding alternative proteins that have a better protein conversions than livestock. But we must culture war first I guess.
