Since Donald Trump is back to saying the 2020 election was stolen from him, claims regularly echoed by his followers, it's helpful to keep on hand one or two of the exhaustively detailed state-by-state accounts by election lawyers and scholars of why this isn't so. Links follow. /1

I'm not sure at whom this exhaustive and convincing compilation of evidence is aimed. Clearly the people who still argue that the election was stolen will not be moved. Toni Morrison argued that racism was just a distraction, and so, I believe, is this. Better to be working to protect the vote.

I tend to agree with the responses that there isn't much point arguing this at this late date, but this AP story summarizes the Michigan Senate investigation that found no evidence of fraud that would alter the election outcome and links to the committee's 55-page report.

Michigan Senate Republicans who investigated the state's presidential election say there was no widespread or systemic fraud.

I used to think that too until I started to believe it’s mostly paid trolls and bots you are communicating with and just adding legitimacy to an Elon Musk plot.

"Lost, Not Stolen," 2022, is a 72-page report from eight prominent conservative legal and political figures that knocks down many of the more frequently heard claims from Trump and allies that the 2020 election was stolen or illegitimate. /2 drive.google.com/file/d/1aqor...
