Since 2010 the US Dept of Ed has directly loaned all federal student loans. This won't work if your loans were lent by the feds, as the shitty companies harassing you over repayment are only servicing the loan on behalf of the gov't.
Imagine a little non-profit/legal aid that can assist people in taking lenders to court…would be like unabashedly good!

chain of title was a huge issue with the foreclosure virus following the housing bubble. This sort of argument was widely shared then and while probably true in an absolute sense, most foreclosure judges refused to hold mortgage servicers accountable for their failures. Very few people won this way.
How do I find out if they kept chain of title?
I didn’t think to sue over this. But I got my student loans dropped from my credit reports by challenging them. So they mostly don’t exist to me. And challenging them on my credit reports was free.
It would be hilarious if loans ended up getting cancelled because everyone clogged up the courts with lawsuits.

I never had student loans but I hate em with every fiber of my being because of the brainwashing me and my peers went through telling us it was the absolute only way to not end up destitute
This definitely works for private student loans. But not so sure about government owned loans 🤔
