In the city, you'll find grocery stores that are tight and crowded. The aisles are narrow and people are moving everywhere. But because so many people are coming for quick trips and shopping with space-efficient baskets, it mostly works out.

Note that some people *need* to shop with carts. There's no shame in that! Maybe you're not able to carry a basket. Or you're bringing a whole lot of food home. Of course you need a cart. But *you too* benefit from the fact that so many other people are using baskets.

The thing I most miss from peak pandemic was the local supermarket made all the aisles one way. SO much more efficient for people like me who speedrun the market in a single pass.
