When you set up and then monitor phylogenetic analyses, do you feel as if you are gardening? You plant the seed with hope. Sometimes you move it to another patch. Sometimes you have to pull out a weed. And then you wait for the harvest. I call it the Garden of Analyses.

Uh-oh, Grandma's been googling again.
Hot tea, wonderful, carry around house. Put down (e.g. on bookshelf) while reaching. Get distracted. Hour later, "Where's my tea mug?". Search and search. Finally find. Put in microwave. Get distracted. Hour later, "Where's my tea?". Search ***every visible surface***. Nowhere. ?!?! Find days later.
For the first few days back after a long trip, I am in a special state. The little barnacles of fear and avoidance have not yet accumulated again on my soul, and I swim without turbulence. I get so much done! I need to find a way to not let the barnacles ever accumulate.
