If you haven't read the WITCHY ACTION urban fantasy indie Hell for Hire with amazingly lovable 3-dimensional characters yet, NOW's the time to do it!! Book 2, Hell of a Witch is coming out on October 1st, and, as an ARC reader, I can guarantee these books are PERFECT for Spooky Season 🎃 💙📚 📚👀

Cover of Hell for Hire by Rachel Aaron
Features a powerful looking woman mid-leap across the page. She's wearing dark jeans and a black shirt with a leather jacket and round black sunglasses slid down her nose. Her eyes are glowing red, her long brown hair is flying behind her, and she has slightly curved, long horns with ridges on them going straight up from her head. In her right hand she's leveling a sword off-center of the viewer, towards the right of the screen. The sword is black.
Cover of Hell of a Witch by Rachel Aaron
Features an attractive man in the motion of walking towards the viewer. He has a slight smile that's almost a smirk, and his eyes are darkened. His dark, semi-curly hair is falling around his ears almost to his jawline.
He's wearing a pointed witch hat, a nice set of pants and shirt, a long coat that's whipping in the wind behind him, and boots, all black. Strapped to his back is a classic witch's broom, except the pommel sticking out over his shoulder is in the shape of a raven's cawing head. At his feet is a somewhat fluffy black cat with green eyes, also staring at the viewer.

Trading tales of survival in the god-wrecked scrublands of the old west.
An eldritch house hungering for fresh meat.
Cover art for The Carnelian King and Other Stories by Arden Powell: fantasy illustration of a red and gold dragon with a snakelike head, catfish whiskers and koi scales, looking at a knight in golden armour. The knight is riding a dappled grey horse, who is rearing to meet the dragon. They are against a dreamy, romantic background of painted trees and sky.

It's the books I love the most that I have the hardest time reviewing

Just received my 3 BBNYA finalists for reading!! These books all look amazing in different ways. One, I read excerpts from in the first rounds, and I'm very excited to dive back in now! The others are new to me but look equally amazing 🤩 Can't wait! Good luck to all finalists!! 💙📚 📚👀

An artistic rendering of a "wax seal" such as would be on the envelope of a letter, with an "award style" ribbon horizontally over top of it. At the top of the seal are the words, "THE BOOK BLOGGERS' NOVEL" and at the bottom, "OF THE YEAR AWARD." On the ribbon over top reads, "Panelist BBNYA 2024."

I should have done this a long time ago, but I JUST figured out how to request a purchase on my library website. Haven't done it yet, but I intend to go through the form several times and add a bunch of indie and queer books! I don't know if my requests will cause any purchases, but fingers crossed!
