I'm not sure if Patreon is in a good enough financial position to file a legal suit over this, which should happen. Or at the very least, creatives should make their complaints go viral to get Apple's attention explaining why this is such a bad move and how it will hurt creators incomes.

A lot of creatives use Apple tech, be it iPads or Macs. And while you can bypass this fee as you mentioned using a browser, it's still not right for one platform to charge any kind of fee for a specific phone platform. 😬
