Hmmm, I wonder what eel pie tastes like I love eel, but I've only ever had it on sushi

I have not had eel pie, but my father served sea eel for Christmas dinner one year in the 1990s. It tasted like intense trout. My second cousins used to catch eels on the Fens, but I never asked them about the flavour. I used to go to pie & mash shops quite a lot in the 1990s, but never dared to try
