I'm largely concerned about the increased pressure of commercial fishing on wild fish increasing to meet demand when salmon farms go away. DFO mandated that farms go on land to continue operating, but the infrastructure does not exist in BC to make that change, so farms will simply cease (1/?)

and wild salmon will be left with increased fishing pressure to match demand. Salmon prices will skyrocket, fishing companies will downsize and staff will be laid off as population decline and regulations choke the industry that was previously supported by farms supplementing wild-caught fish (2/3)
