Climate change was a key driver of Hurricane Helene, and is for Milton, and was for all other recent hurricanes - the US needs to prepare for previously unimaginable disasters (not just storm-related). New @wwattribution.bsky.socialwww.worldweatherattribution.org/climate-chan...

Good feature of the New York Times on climate tipping points, with interactive graphics. Ignoring these fossil-fueled risks to humanity‘s future while shouting „drill baby drill“ isn’t just weird, it’s criminally irresponsible. www.nytimes.com/interactive/...

I‘ve been called dumb and racist for my post - so no, I stop posting on that toxic topic now.

Interesting. I don‘t know why saying that showing Palestinian flags may be a reason to call someone „pro-Palestinian“ is dumb and even less why my nationality matters. BTW, living in Germany does not make me German, my origin is Swiss. But I assume you don‘t judge people by their origin, do you?

Maybe because the flags, scarfs and slogans used by many students do not actually express justified protest against Israeli violence, but rather questionable support of Palestinian terrorists. That’s where my sympathy with these protesters ends.
