I only follow accounts whose content looks interesting, never automatically follow back. I block many accounts that follow me because they are obviously bots or scammers. I get a LOT of god fearing, USA-loving bearded men who would like me to get to know them. Automatic block.

Same as you. I'm also not following back religious accounts or Forex traders. I seem to have attracted a few of each lately.

Echoing others; recent noticeable uptick in pilots, surgeons, dog lovers, religious people, keanu reeves/john wick accounts etc. Had to close my DMs shortly after joining due to the ridiculous messages. I just block them. Shame if a genuine new person misses out on making a connection though.

Yep. My buesky experience in the first three days was with people who 'wanted to get to know me better'. Polite responses don't deter them.

My approach is the same. Those without any Bio or who only repost…. They look far too like the bots in the other place … so I avoid all interaction!
