Try browsing some larger toy store in Germany while you're out here, they should have most if not all of them. They're quite commonly available throughout Europe.

A French company called Papo. I came across them because of their animal sculpts (much better models and paints than the omnipresent Schleich, especially on big cats), and found these. 10-ish years old, iirc. The list on their website is missing a mouflon/ram warrior, but this is the set:

This brand has a full set of these. Lion, croc, rhino, tiger, gorilla, dragon, and I think I also saw a bear and panther added lately. Price is pretty universal across the board, so around the 12-15 ballpark.

E gods, are they trying to write a novel or pad the wordcount to a bachelor's thesis because they were too drunk the entire semester to write it properly?

To answer your initial question again: Spellchecker (aka NOT genAI) is like checking a dictionary. Using genAI bullshit is like stealing a book from Stephen King, slapping your name on it and pretending you wrote it because you are that good. One, you're not. Two, you're a fraud. End of broadcast.

If you want to say writing is just craft and not art (which sure is a cocked up take to have...), fine. Still, if you make a career selling work you outright stole from your betters because you can't be arsed to learn how to make a pot, you're not a craftsman, you're a hack.

Simple: it's generative. That's the difference, it's right there in the name. Knowing how a word is spelled is not the point of writing prose. Knowing which words you choose, what tone to set, what to say and what to leave unsaid. That is the actual art being judged and tested.

I finally got my hands on a copy recently, and I see I have *things* to look forward to when it arrives...

Going to Kupocon at Glasgow next February. If you're there, hop on, say hi, pet a dragon (optional).
