I was lucky to have only recently heard of Brave. Despite being in it I found Mozilla years ago and never switched to chrome.
I was always a little suspicious of Brave, hearing stuff piecemeal. The whole thing put together is crazy, very surprised people outside of Web3 actually use it

I've been using brave for a long time. Turned off it's crypto features. It's been the only thing to consistently remove YouTube ads and not suffer the YouTube play ban. I didn't look far into the history of it's creators honestly.
I've used Firefox for 2 decades now and despite them constantly enshittifying the UI to be more like Chrome (which I'd sooner set IE as my default, even now, than ever sully my computer with) is still the best option even if I do have to google how to unfuck whatever they fuck every update.
