Didn’t even have to submit private and sensitive PII and pay monthly!
I thought about how this will also make it easier for me to keep work/personal separate. It’s a nice solution: verified personal domain or bsky handle for one, verified subdomain for work for the other.
This is (a) awesome, (b) much better than encouraging fighting over limited namespace owned by one company, and (c) a perfect example of why bsky should have affordances for making multiple verified handles visible -- someday Ron may no longer be a senator, but may want continuity of identity.
Well, your future average user base that doesn't understand how domain validation works
Blocking entire domains is great idea. Being able to block the whole of .gov is both hilarious and important.
So this means we’re one step closer to getting the National Park Services on here!
I may be being dense here but one of the concerns with this that just came to mind is that (for creators more than brands) catfishes might start swiping up any relevant domain names and using redirects to appear legit
We can use the DNS protocol to do this job. 🙂
@jessgrossman.bsky.social not what you were looking for, but not that far off, lol
how do I mute/block the entire domain? or even better, the entire .gov?
