There's definitely many who do it who can afford it, but "I'll pirate it now and pay for it later" is also a common sentiment, so there's a lot of interesting nuance to this topic. I'm not denying sales are hurt by piracy, but I don't think one pirated copy can be inherently equated to one lost sale
